The Springfield Pact is the official alliance the Coalition of Western Republics dominates. Originally composed of puppet states ruled from Columbia in all but name, it has become a larger, more fluid organization. Historically, the Coalition has isolated itself from other nations ever since the Collapse. Fearing that it would be taken advantage of, the Coalition tried to control all information coming out of its borders, building up an image of strength that varied in veracity throughout the centuries. It was only with Passerini’s Thaw that the Coalition opened diplomatic relations with neutral and friendly nations. The modern Springfield Pact is a diverse organization, containing everything from theocracies to anarchies, despotisms to even pseudosocialist states.
